cook books

my dad and I have been having alot of fun cooking. i didn't know he could cook so good. he know so many ways to cook tofu. last night i came home from school to a surprise. cookbooks and lots of them. he bought all of the sarah kramer books (la dolce vegan, the garden of vegan and how it all vegan) and the books from the cool girls at postpunkkitchen.com (vegan with a vegence and vegan cupcakes take over the world) after school tonight we are making cupcakes!

then on saturday roy and his mom are coming over and we are going to make vegan pizza's. my dad told my mom and sister they were going to eat it with us and not complain. it was good food and good for them. did you know roy and his mom are vegan's too. i talked alot to roy's mom before i decided to become vegan.

Happy Friday the 13th

tomorrow my dad and i are going shopping for stuff we need to cook our vegan meals. my mother keeps insisting that it is a waste of money and time and that we will waste away to nothing. i don't get what she has against it. when dad and i are alone i am going to ask him why he gave it up.

the month of halloween

this is my favourite time of the year. i love halloween. i love it so much that i celebrate it every day of the month.

i have been a vegetarian for a very long time. my mother doesn't understand why i refuse to eat meat. starting october 1 i decided to become vegan. it is driving her crazy because i am asking for soy milk. she keeps saying you will shrivel up if you don't drink milk. my father told her to leave me alone but she said she refuses to buy me my vegan products, my father said fine that i am to give him a grocery list each week and he will get what ever i need.

after a while i heard them arguing and overheard my mother telling my father that he must have told me about his days as a vegan, that is the only way i would know about it. i didn't know my father was vegan. i wonder why he stopped. but it sounds like he did when he married my mother. now i have a secret to figure out.

how i found out about being vegan happened along time ago. i am against animal cruelty and many of the websites i check talk about being vegan. i am old enough to cook my own meals now so i thought this was the best time to start. my father took me aside and told me that not only will he help me prepare meals, he will teach me how and maybe even start eating them with me. latetly i have been discovering that my dad isn't such a jerk.
